Creative blocks feel even more daunting in the age of this pandemic. Let's get to work wiggling out of that rut!
1. Speak Affirmations
🌟 Let’s face it. You could be nicer to yourself. Start talking to yourself in a kind way. Simple affirmations (ie “I will not compare myself to strangers on the Internet”) make a world of difference.
📝 Sometimes we need somewhere to dump our thoughts and feelings. Write the chaos down without judging yourself. Then you can step back, read, and assess. Journaling often provides clarity that can lead you to action.
3. Connect With Nature
🌱 The work-from-home and Netflix binges take a toll on our mental space. Be sure to treat yourself to a few “off-the-grid” moments during the day. Take a walk outside without devices. Breathe. Nature has a way of restoring us, so let it.
4. Reach Out
☎️ Know that you’re not alone. We are all living in extraordinary times and doing our best. If you’re feeling lost, reach out to a trusted friend or mentor for support. An outside perspective will often remind us of our strength and empower us to discover a path forward.
